Meet The God Damn Members!
Safer Than Speed was started by three legendary members (Ritty, Russ, Jimmy) We had no permenant drummer but recently we have had the company of the lovely Buzz (Adam) we satisfys us greatly =) and the newest addition of Becky the funky bassist..
Here's some information on the band members, we'll probably get some pictures soon, if we can be arsed...
Name: Richard
A.K.A: Ritty, Hippy
Position: Frontman, Vocalaist, Rhythm Guitarist and Main Songwriter
Likes: Weed, "Roy", Excesive Sleeping, (Mars Volta) Rock/punk/grunge, Killing Guitars, Jimmy Allans, The Sally, More or less any pub...
Dislikes: Lack Of Weed, Staying Awake More That 10 hours, charva's, weddings
Name: Russell
A.K.A: Russ, Trip, Slim, russ-russ, J.C (jesus)
Position: Lead Guitar, Secondry Vocalist, Secondry Songwriter
Likes: Ganja, Um Bongo, Left handed guitars, grannies, food, (Nine Inch Nails!!!) industrial/grunge/rock, destruction, getting wasted
Dislikes: The Countryside, Sundays, Mornings, Punk, "Roy"
Name: Becky
A.K.A: Beckski, that's about it i think...
Position: Bassist, Funky Bass Writer
Likes: pink floyd, basses (especially fretless..), bodyboarding, twixes, lollypops, purple, clicking my toes, rob harvey, roger waters, thrift-store clothes!
Dislikes: impossible situations, family "gatherings", quadratic equations and broccoli

A.K.A: Buzz
Position: Drummer, Stripper, and all round nice guy
Likes: er, i dunno? drums? ill have to ask him i guess..haha
Dislikes: again i dunno, maybe me (russ) constantly ringing him to find Ritty? ill get back to you with that....

Our Inspiration....
We find inspiration to do covers and originals from everywhere, from the music we like, to the old 70's crap no-one likes. Below is a personal list of each members insipration...
Ritty: Well ritty likes manics, simon and garfunkle, old pop folk tunes, mars volta and well everything...
Russ: Real Life Experiences, Places I grew up, but mainly the music i listen to, and ritty's acoustic playing
Becky: people and places, things that are interesting, and most of all my dad
Buzz: Vikings and window-cleaners, the french channel, and shit he's blown up
